Syllabus

Hatha yoga

  • Advanced asanas, pranayamas, mudras, bandhas and nadanusandhana
  • Practice of shadkriyas
  • Pranadharanam- An advanced practice system to develop the pranic awareness
  • Dharana practice- A doorway to meditation
  • Introduction to different styles and traditions
  • Teaching the various yoga flows and sun salutations
  • Teaching various combinations of practices
  • Introducing different traditions and styles

Anatomy & physiology

  • Teaching how to deal with common physical and mental ailments
  • Such as stress, sleeplessness, arthritis, lethargy, migraine, and shoulder, neck, and back pain
  • Teaching the anatomical and physiological changes causing the ailments and how yoga works with these situations.

Making of a yoga teacher

  • Transcendental teaching method.
  • In this stage, the teacher can feel the physical and mental states of students and can design the teaching style and words of expression accordingly. It needs a higher level of dedication.

Ayurveda

  • Tridosha detailed
  • How do different Asanas and other practices affect different doshas?

  • This is a practice followed in the tradition of India to balance emotions and purify the mind
  • It includes chanting of mantras, bhajans (singing of devotional songs), and Satsang (sacred gathering- sharing and discussions)

Where do you stay

Our home for this Course is in a tropical village situated in the heart of the Wayanad mountain district of Kerala, amongst 25 acres of organic farmland.

This part of Kerala is well known for its lush green hills, waterfalls, rice paddies, coffee and palm plantations, and banana fields.

The rooms are built in the traditional style of a Keralan homestay with an emphasis on simplicity.

Our Yoga sala is also built-in traditional Keralan style using natural resources.

The climate is perfect at around 20-30 degrees Celcius.

  • A scarf or shawl for chilly morning and evening meditation.
  • A Yoga mat.
  • A meditation pillow ( optional).
  • Water bottle.
  • Flashlight.
  • Sandals.
  • Toiletries.
  • Towels.
  • Mosquito repellent.
  • Any other personal items such as toiletries or medicines.
General Info
  • A strict dress code must be observed at all times.
  • A Yogic diet should be followed, you are encouraged not to bring in food or drinks from outside.
  • Male/female accommodation will be separate.
  • WIFI will be available at limited times of the day should you need it.
  • A mosquito net will be provided.
  • Home-cooked vegetarian meals will be served daily.
  • Please give us prior notice of any allergies/intolerances before you book your stay.
  • Please dress respectfully both on and off the yoga mat to respect the local culture.

  • No food from outside.
Refund policy
  • In case of cancelation 60 days before the program will get 100% of the advance payment(international transaction cost will be deducted).
  • In case of cancelation within 60days before the program will get the refund of 50% from the advance payment (international transaction cost also will be deducted).
  • In case of cancellation from institution regarding the pandemic situation, 100% of the advance payment will be refunded. (international transaction cost also will be deducted).
